MISS J

FOUNDER

AVA = AERIAL VERTICAL ARTS was founded in 2010 by Jessica Lyn (a.k.a. Miss J).

Miss J started her pole journey dancing in strip clubs back in 2001 in Toronto. She moved to Paris, France later that year to study Hair Styling until 2003 and then ended up in London England where she lived and worked for 7 years. She worked as a stripper & feature performer dazzling crowds across Europe and upon moving back to Canada in 2010, she decided to open up a Pole Studio.

Since then, she has taught over 7,000 students around the world and has also coached hundreds of students over the years who have gone on to win first, second and third place medals in Pole Dance Competitions. She has also judged and hosted pole dancing competitions, has put on over 50 showcases, and won a silver medal in the September 2022 PSO VIRGO Pole Competition (Entertainment Level 3).

Miss J’s latest accomplishments are being the lead dance choreographer for Lifetime’s Feature Film “Let’s Get Physical” (2022) featuring Jenna Dewan (Step Up, The Rookie) and Jennifer Irwin (Schitt’s Creek, The Goldbergs, Superstore) as well as the Dance Double for Jennifer Irwin.

Miss J has fully submersed herself into the Pole Industry as a leader, activist and avid promoter of pole dancing as an art and sport.
